Allegheny County Sanitary Authority

Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) provides wastewater treatment services for 83 communities, including the city of Pittsburgh, in Allegheny County PA. Through my current company I have been a pat of two major ALCOSAN projects; the Regional Tunnel System Project, and the Municipal Regionalization Project. The regional tunnel project is a multi-billion dollar project to construct 16+ miles of underground tunnels in Allegheny County that will capture and transport combined stormwater to the wastewater treatment plant with the goal a reducing combined stormwater/sewage overflows into area rivers. The Regionalization project is an effort to consolidate the area’s sewer pipes and transfer ownership to ALCOSAN to aid with maintenance, with the end goal of reducing the leakage of sewage into groundwater.

Work for these projects includes extensive municipal and public official outreach and education, public outreach and education, public information handouts, all collateral for in-person and online public meetings, stakeholder meetings, and elected official meetings, data report design, email design, website design, and social media posts.
